Sacraments

Baptism: Parents wishing to have their child baptised should complete and return a Baptism Enquiry Form which is available from the Parish Priest or to download. Prior to baptism you will be invited to attend a preparation session.

Confirmation:  If you are an adult and have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation please contact the Parish Priest.

Marriage: Couples intending to get married must give at least 6 months notice to the Parish Priest. Marriage Enquiry Form available to download.  Do not make any arrangements, booking the reception for example, before confirming the date with the Parish Priest. Prior to marriage you will be invited to attend a preparation session(s).

Sacrament of the Sick: If someone in your care is very ill and dying or if you would like to receive the sacrament of the sick, especially before going into hospital for treatment, please contact the Parish Priest. Twice yearly the SSVP host a Mass with Anointing of the Sick. The Sacrament is offered to all those “whose health is seriously impaired by illness or old age”.

Sacrament of Reconciliation:  Is available on Saturdays 10.00am-10.30am in St Kentigern’s and 5.15pm-5.45pm in St John the Baptist and on request.
